Niche Wine Company is a small winery that is located in a gorgeous location, high up on a ridge in West Kelowna. Niche specializes in making wine without fancy equipment and rely on the hard work of their few staff. Each grape is hand picked and the wine is all handcrafted. The owners, James and Joanna, are passionate farmers who make batches from small harvests of grapes from a nearby vineyard and farm that is run by their parents. You may even be lucky enough to meet the ownership team at a stop here iwth Canadian Craft.
Their speciality is in making Pinot Noirs but also enjoy making Gewürztraminers, Rosés, and Fochs. They are persistent in their goals and committed not only to making great wines but to also have fun doing it. They are proud to be part of the BC wine industry and to tell the stories of the land through their wines. With every new achievement they are happy to help put Kelowna on the map as a world-class wine region.
The winery is situated close to the McDougall Rim Trail and surrounded by countless log roads that are wonderful for exploring on mountain bike. If you are planning a trip up there, you are able to call the winery and book a picnic reservation for when you need a rest (Or book with us and it's our lunch stop!) They offer catered baskets, wine by the glass and a bocce court. They make unique, handcrafted, affordable, single vineyard wines. Being only 15 minutes from downtown Kelowna, they hope you plan a visit to spend an afternoon enjoying the beauty of their vineyard. A whole lot of passion goes into their wine and they strive to ensure you can taste it in every sip.
