Rob Rindt and Rebekah Crowley started this venture back in the summer of 2015 as a way to utilize the farm in a different way besides growing Grass ( Western Turf Farms). With a lot of learning curves and a bit of money they opened the doors as a tasting room in Feb 2017. Roots and Wings offer only Vodka at that time with seasonal infusions. Now two years later they have 6 different options and 4 more on the way.
Roots and Wings Distillery have a potato and corn based vodka, Coffee infused vodka, Horse radish infused vodka, Gin, and a pure corn spirit that is slightly aged with sweet orange and honey as well as a variation on that spirit that has been aged longer with cinnamon and honey.
They are now licensed to serve cocktails which change seasonally.
Located on a 30 acre farm where they grow the potatoes and corn and their tasting room is a very small intimate place that can only seat 13. The interior is made from raw cedar that comes from our property as well so it gives a nice warm rustic feel to the interior.
Weekends 12 to 5 we will expand these hours in the summer to include Fridays and a bit later in the evening.
